Cars at a Glance 2006 Mitsubishi Eclipse Coupe If you though the Mitsubishi company was on the verge of folding you are sadly mistaken, in fact check out the newest dealer selling Mitsubishi's.  The new dealership is on Broadway and Highway 78 and Pat Poulain is the General Manager and he will put this dealership on the map by basing his business plan on customer satisfaction and top quality service.  Being a retired service manager I have seen his dealership in action and he is definitely on the right track.  He gave me a 06 Eclipses Coupe for a test drive and was it impressive.  Sticking to his plan and being very attentive to the customer needs Poulain remembered I liked manual transmission equipped cars and that is what I got and with a full tank of fuel! Poulain also gave me the bigger engine that produces 263

horsepower from a 3.8-liter V6, backed by not a five speed but a six speed close ratio manual transmission I was in heaven.  The interior was done very well and the outside was painted sunburst orange, you need to see it to enjoy it.  The car drove and handled like a true sports car with all the styling you could ask for and the fuel mileage wasn't bad either except for city driving which will give you 18 miles per gallon but hit the open road and it will jump to 27 miles per gallon.  Now of course if power isn't your thing you can opt for the standard 4-cylinder that will give you 162 horsepower and 23 miles per gallon in town and 30 miles per gallon on the open road with all the styling.  If you like driving you need to check out the 2006 Eclipse and I would highly recommend Escondido Mitsubishi, call them at 760-489-9300.
