I'm not real big on large SUV's but unfortunately they are a needed commodity in today's society so if you have to have one I have just the vehicle.  The 2007 Lincoln Navigator Ultimate2 Wheel Drive,  it has a retro look inside, new age look on the outside and the look of a brute coming up from behind, but what it has that really gets me excited is a ride that Lincoln has always been famous for.  Remember those days when you wanted to rent a luxury car for the ride, what did you pick?  A Lincoln, well the ride is back and the inside of this 07 Navigator is dead quiet thanks to extra deadening materials surround the occupants.  They even thicken up the windshield to help keep noise out.  That comes in handy when you're cranking up the THX Sound System or if your rear passengers are watching their favorite movie on the optional flip down entertainment system and yes the kids can play their games as well.
The interior of the Lincoln is very plush and rich with leather and wood surrounding you and once you gaze upon the instrumentation it will take you back to the Lincoln of the 60's, square speedometer and tachometer and a row of smaller square gauges housing fuel, temperature, charging and oil pressure truly retro.  In the center between the driver and passenger you get a massive center console with enough storage you could keep a small office in their, cup holder galore and back on the dash you find you audio controls, a navigation system plus your climate controls all very neat and tidy with a touch of class.  I really liked this Navigator.
This was Ed Witt's personal driver and I must say he is really a car guy, his ride came with all the right bells and whistles like automatic running boards that hide under the vehicle when not in use, automatic folding third row seat backs that will actually help you bring small items from the front to the rear with the touch of a switch.  What do I mean?  Well when you fold the seats backs forward they go into the floor and your cargo area is very flat, well if you have items up next to the second row seat back and you can't reach them all you have to do is push on the seat back button located on the right rear panel (See the photo) of the Navigator and when the seat back raises to its seating position the items will roll and tumble to you as you wait for them at the rear of the Navigator.  I don't know if Lincoln had that in mind when they designed this feature but I bet they will take credit for it.  You also get a power lift gate which comes in handy when loading and unloading your Navigator.
The outside of the 07 Navigator has been enhanced for 07 as well, take a look at the massive grill with the Lincoln emblem in the middle and HID lighting flowing into the grill, side moldings, fender flairs and a new taillight treatment all add to the beauty of this black Navigator with black interior add optional 20-inch chrome alloy wheels and standard tinted glass and your 07 Navigator becomes a real presence no matter where you park it.
Power is abundant as well thanks to a 5.4-liter Triton V8 that produces 300 horsepower mated to a six speed electronically controlled automatic transmission which will get you 13 miles per gallon in the city and 18 miles per gallon on the open road.
I would be remised if I didn't talk about the Service Department being an old service manager myself, I can say Witt Service is the best!
There is so much more I could talk about when it comes to this Navigator but I recommend you take a ride down to Mission Valley and see this Navigator for yourself at Witt Lincoln Mercury, call them at 619-358-5001.  Any of there very well qualified sales representatives will educate you on the Navigator or any of the product on the premises and there lot is full of great deals, and remember it's almost the end of the year!
